We (Joe and Jennifer Weber) have worked extremely hard in making the Loafin' Joe's concept a success. During our first three years, we worked 12 to 14 hour days, seven days a week, to make the restaurant succeed. Now, eight years into the mission, we select new franchisees very carefully, ensuring that anyone who takes on the mantel of Loafin' Joe's will take their obligation seriously, but at the same time, have fun with it. We have had fun, but we worked hard first. The fun comes later.

Our first restaurant, originally named Sub Station, is located at 201 W. Mountain in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The "Mountain Street store", as we affectionately call it, is a converted service station. After renovating the building and adding our special touches, we opened for business on August 6, 1991, to rave reviews. It's been a dynamic success ever since. Since opening our first restaurant, we have added and franchised two more-one in Springdale and one in Lowell.

Having experienced a variety of operating environments and succeeding beyond our expectations, we decided to franchise, changed our name to Loafin' Joe's and started offering franchises in 1998. We believe that carefully selected professional people, particularly those who are experienced in operating restaurants, will have an excellent opportunity for success in operating a Loafin' Joe's restaurant.

We have created the character, Loafin' Joe, to help navigate you through the site. You will also see this guy on Loafin' Joe's signs, t-shirts and other specialties. We hope you enjoy him as much as we do.
